i'm distraught because i just learned that while they're doing a remake of the 1997 version of "fever pitch" they're totally fucking destroying it. how? by turning it from a movie about footie [ie, soccer] to a fucking movie about baseball. and about the boston redsox even. the entire fucking point of "fever pitch" was the fact that arsenal won the title in 89 and fucking hell, baseball doesn't even TAKE PLACE ON A PITCH OF ANY SORT! how the fucking hell is the title going to still be "fever pitch"!?

i mean sure they changed where "high fidelity" took place, from london to chicago, but they still kept everything else in place. the characters were still pretty much the same, did the same things, and so on. now however they're changing the entire fucking plot into something entirely different. the really sad thing is you had no idea how excited i was that they were remaking it. mostly because i figured finally i could bring sara to something that was entirely arsenal related and go "look look! arsenal!" and could just revel in the arsenal-ness of it all. now? fuck that shit. fuck that shit straight up.
