i was interested to find that the hotel i had booked for us in chicago was in a shitty part of town, thanks to nina who happened to live right outside chi-town. so thankfully for her i managed to go and find a new hotel that's actually in downtown chicago and doesn't look too shitty, it's also about the same price as the old hotel so that's good too.so far today's been super-jam packed with things [which is good because i want today and tomorrow to go fast]. i woke up early, took my car into the shop. sat around for an hour waiting for a damned loaner car [seriously i hate sitting around waiting for things in car-shops, the magazines are never interesting and the seats are always so uncomfortable. i think some kind soul should go around to every car-shop and replace all the chairs with ones that are actually comfortable]. actually about that seat thing, maybe they do that so that you get antsy-pantsy and offer them more money to fix your car? something to think about.
after getting back from there i went to the dr's which suprisingly was a short visit. i didn't even get through an entire magazine before i was told to come in, which is a shock all of itself since normally you have to wait another hour just to see the damned doctor.
now that i've dropped off my two prescriptions i just have to kill time before work, and thank jebus the manager on tonight is probably my new favorite manager because he's a newbie and super-nice. he's also worked his way up from a server so he knows how it is to server and thus isn't a complete cock to you when something happens.
tomorrow i know is goign to be hard, cause i have nothing to do, just wait, and wait, and i know the day is going to go by super-duper-extra-slow to make up for these two days where i've been busy. but i guess i'm due, so to speak, so i'll take it.
also my upgraded loaner car is a taurus, and as i drive it i continue to wonder, who in their right mind would actually buy one of these cars?
