everything's set was good and long, with many a jam and the energy was about 10x more than usual just because it was nye. then they did the midnight thing, well todd wasn't really sure if it was midnight so we just assumed it was by hollering out what time it was. emmet's set was equally as awesome, but they have a different energy than everything. whereas everything is all about the groove and dancing, emmet's more about a "classic" rock sound.

the interesting thing though was after the opening band played i was sitting up front and i noticed this girl come near the front with no other friends but she was quite dressed up. so being the glutton for punishement i am, i went over to talk to her and asked her why she was all dressed up with no friends. apparently her friend had bailed after getting a plane ticket for xmas, but she decided to go. so we started chatting it up and it turns out she was there to see everything like i was, so we talked about other shows etc. night goes on and i get her another drink since i needed one and we keep talking, turns out she lives right around me.

so you think at the end of the night i'd ask her for her phoone number. right? wrong. this is me we're talking about, i asked if she needed a ride home and she said the other people we were talking to already offered. so yet another chance slipped through my hands. i mean i already know the girl listens to good music, which is so important in the long run. and yet i have a feeling i'll never see her again, which sucks.

oh yea and on the way home the car infront of me got pulled over, once again thank you mr.rabbit.

so that was my nye. all in all the year ended and started out on a really good note, considering it ended on everything's note, and began on emmet's, in my book it just doesn't get much better than that.
