so i went to one of the free concerts in dc that have been happening most of the summer and i've been to two prior ones that were pretty good. but those two the band we went to see were either the main act, or the 2nd to last so there was still a pretty big contigent of people actually wanting to see the band [emmet swimming].but tonight i really wanted to go see gib droll band since it has two of the memebers of e: and i kinda wanted to see how he was, since i hadn't seem him [gib] play in many moons.
i got there probably around the beginning of their act, i'm not entirely sure. but either way most people weren't too into it because they've probably never heard him, that and they all looked to be about 12. anyways he's playing his song and suddenly turns the guitar over his head and plays it behind his head. i mean it was awesome, and he didn't miss a note or anything, so the crowds sorta into him. few songs later some little prick near me goes "get off the stage...blues traveller!!" and then yells "the worst group i've ever seen" but this time he's yelling it as he's playing his guitar with his mouth, and sounding fucking awesome. i mean i was floored cause i've never seen anyone do that in person. i so wanted to go up to the little shit and say "listen you little fuck, until you can play the guitar with your mouth, or play it behind your head, or hell just play on a stage period, shut. the. fuck. up." but i didn't because well..i was hot, and too into the music at that point. but i should've, really!
but yea that's the only interesting thing happening. well besides the fact that the restaurant [houlihans] is finally about to open and i'm pretty psyched, i think i'm gonna make some decent money, but i'll hafta wait till monday.
so yea, now it's madden time [yea i'm a sucker for madden, but only right after it comes out (then i go back to my fifa)]
