mainly because i didn't have to work tonight really, and we got to hang out.

see i went in at 3 or so and saw i wasn't on the lineup but of course since our GM was right there she immedietly switched me up with someone else to take a semi-decent section so i could get out semi-early [in all honesty because i know mary's working tonight and not a closer so i figure we can get out earlyish (10 or so) and do something together] and do something. but as the shift goes on i see she's not showing up. so i start thinking "hmm maybe she called in and i don't know it" and at which point i see a new girl walk in wondering what's going on with her shift. basicaly she showed up like me, thinking she was going to work, but not being on the floor plan.

so i'm going "ooh get her to pick up and you can get off and go hang out with mary" so some time passes and everyone shows up and i hand my section over to the new girl and i ball out. of course when i'm leaving i call up mary and see what's going down and turns out she got out of her meet only a little bit ago and still hasn't even gotten home. so that kinda sucks because i was hoping to hear she didn't have to work and whatever.

but i planted the seed of her not going in since it was so late. sadly she calls me up twenty minutes later telling me she's going in because they're going crazy and need her help. so i'm like "ok" because i figure i'll go up there anyways about when i expect her to get off, but i don't tell her this thinking i might be able to 'suprise' her.

so i go up to cooker to get some food since they're eating lasagna here [yes i'm italian and i don't like it, i dunno what's up with me]. at cooker i get some alright food and have two beer's. but mainly i catch up with some friends and whatnot.

it's weird how when you dont' see someone for a while after you worked with 'em a lot, and in the time you worked with them you were only so-so friends with them, but everytime you come back to where you worked you're their best damned friend. maybe it's because they secretly liked you, or they're hoping you sit in their section and hook them up with a fat tip.

either way i left a nice tip and headed towards logans, then i realized what time it was [only 8 instead of the 9 i was hoping for] so i decided to try to get into best buy before it closed so i could pick up the new 'usual suspects' special edition dvd, but of course i didn't get there in time. since i needed to kill time anyways i drove back down the road i came from to go into borders and read some car magazines and kill even more time. which managed to make me kill about an hour and a half, almost two.

but as i'm leaving i head towards the music section and look through some of their stuff [screw paying 18 for a damned cd though] when i notice they have some dvd's. never knew they did, but maybe they'll have the usual suspects. of course they did, but i tried to look in their 'drama' section without any luck. then i use their little instore browser they have setup in the middle of the place and finally come to see it shows them having it, but it's in the action/adventure section [but really usual suspects is a drama, there's little 'action' in it] but i look there and see nothing. finally i figure it's a bust and start to walk out, when where do i see it but on a huge honkin stand in the middle of the store. figures.

but as i'm about to leave i get a call on my cell i look at the number and don't recogonise it but i answer it anyways cause no one really calls me, and it's mary wondering if i want to go get something to eat after she gets off. of course i do since that's what i was hoping we could do anyways. but i'm feeling good inside because she was the one who well 'inititated' it, which again shows the interest and whatnot.

so i go up there and wait around for her to get off, all the time making jokes and just enjoying myself. because i mean i didn't have to work really.

finally she gets off right at 11 and we decide to head to fridays and get some food. and i dunno, it's weird i mean we didn't really talk about anything specific, but we just talked and it was really comfortable.

which is why i think i like her and like spending time with her so much. because i dunno, we just click. i mean sure we talk about stupid stuff a lot of time, but we've also had plenty of deep discussions.

another sort of odd thing is i don't know how it'd be like if we had an entire day to spend together, because everytime we've done something it's been for a large portion of a day, but never the whole one. maybe i'll find out soon, actually scratch that, i'd really like to find out soon.

and that was basically my night since she had to go home again somewhat early for a volleyball tourney the next morning.

man the day seemed to frickin fly by. which is a damned good thing. i just wish it could've gone by with more time spent with mary, oh well.
