let me tell you, seeing an (e:) show right in their backyard is awesome. i haven't seen the guys jam like they did tonight for many a year. and i mean they were jamming, like some of the classic 10 to 15 minute jams where you just got into the music. goddamn i can't even really explain it in words, it just well moves me.

the amusing thing was i managed to bring kb along with me to the middle of nowhere [washington va] after many an escapade prior to the show. but she goes in there and looks like she hates every second of being there. which i sorta know she doesn't, she just doesn't like the music but came because i asked her to [that and cause i went and saw vanilla friggin ice, with her.] so she's there sitting in the back by the entrance looking sullen [oh yea the show was held in an old church i believe, really really tiny] and apparently when craig [lead singer] took a little 'break' mid-song and went to dance in the crowd he came by her and i guess touched her on the shoulder or something and told her she should get up and dance with everyone else. something which i thought i should've asked him to do as he came back from dancing in the crowd [this of course was prior to me knowing he went and already did it.] when i found out what he had done i cracked up because i found it funny as hell, but she of course didn't because she doesn't like people to invade her space [as she said later "if we haven't shared negative space, then don't touch me" {now think about the only way two people can share 'negative' space}] and apparently craig wasn't the only one. some lady came up to her and said it made her cry to see someone not enjoying the music. i think that lady there is a good example why people shouldn't smoke too much pot, you get stupid.

oh yea, and because it was held right around where the guys live, most of the crowd were these old people, and kb kept telling me she couldn't believe she was at a show where the average age was about 50. and i of course kept telling her that this show wasn't anything like their normal ones.

either way i had an amazingly good time and am so friggin glad that i spent the time to go out there. especially since that's their last show in the area for a few months.

oh well now it's time to go to sleep and get ready to cheer my pens on as they whup some cap ass.

scud.
