i re-rented 'the commitments' because frankly i used to love the movie. mainly cause they said 'fookin shite' a lot and it sounded damned cool. that and the music was pretty good. but i re-rented it because i had been wanting to see it a bunch and never had because of various things. so i get done watching it and go 'damn, they were fuckin good' cause everytime you see them singing in the movie, they're singing for real, since all of them were real musicians and whatnot. then i remembered that when the movie came out i saw that they actually did a tour. so i figured 'wonder if they're still doing that' and i came online to see if they did, sure enough they are. but there's only 3 or 4 of the people from the movie in the band [and the band is like an 8-9 piece band. and i think that's well..bad. it almost ruins the whole thing for me, cause now the people in the band are seen as trying to milk the thing for all it's worth, and that's kinda..sad. i guess that's anothing thing to chalk up to fantasizing your childhood or whatever. and shit, i didn't think i was that old, guess i'm old enough to already start polishing my childhood memories so they seem better then they really were..and to think i thought that only happened when you got old...and senile. scud.
