so i worked last night. i thought i was supposed to come in at 4 since that's what i had come in at during the weekday...i was wrong. you're supposed to come in at 3 or something. and i was a closer. my second shift..and they had me close. needless to say i was sorta worried..but i really didn't have to. i was 'busy' per se. but i never got slammed..which was good. i think the hostesses were looking out for me, so i'm thankful for that. but all my tables for the most part were really nice couples and i ended up making something like 86 bucks..with a 3 table section, on a slow night. now normally for me 86 bucks would be a pretty decent take at cooker's, so i'm likin the money already. oh yea and the people are chill as hell as i've said before. i think i spent something like 45 minutes after we were done [at about 1 am] just shooting the shit with two other servers and a manager, made the fact that i was there so damned late halfway decent.and see i had a problem..no one actually printed my schedule up. i was just sort of added onto it at the last moment so i had no visible refernce as to when i was working. and i kept asking different managers when i was working since i wasn't 100% sure, i thought i had told them i could work sunday..but wasn't sure. so i asked again last night and the manager told me to call in tomorrow..so i asked when the normal come-in times were, and she said noon and 3. so i just called them about 15 minutes ago and was told i was supposed to be in at 10, i ended up talking to the GM of the place and she was like "why didn't you look on the schedule on the back?" to which i told her my situation..i hope she doesn't think i'm a twit and can't read a schedule or that i like dipping on my shifts..cause i don't. i just didn't friggin know, oh well..she did the same make-shift addition for me again next week so we'll see.
so looks like i get to spend the rest of the day with kb. tho if i had to work the morning shift that would've been allright with spending time with her. but i'm not quite sure why i asked to do sun. morning i mean i've always hated doing a closing/evening shift on sat. night and then having to come in on sunday morning. hell this morning i wasn't up and semi-coherant until like 11 or something..i was so insanely tired last night. i mean i can't imagine what i would've been like if i had actually gone into work..
oh well..
and what the hell happened with the world series yesterday? i was watching at work and one inning it was 2-0..i went into the back to get some food for a table and went back towards the tv maybe some 10 minutes later..and it was 12-0. what the hell happened there? jesbus it was just...crazy!
